Garonga Safari Camp and Little Garonga

Herb and Cheese Bread

Ingredients:

  • 500g self raising flour
  • 5ml salt
  • 500ml strong cheddar grated
  • 500ml buttermilk
  • 30ml chopped parsley
  • 20ml chopped chives
  • 15ml chopped basil
  • 2ml black pepper
  • 5ml mixed herbs
  • 1 egg
Method:

Preheat oven to 180°. Place all above ingredients into a large bowl. Beat the buttermilk and egg together and add to the above. Blend together with your hands or a knife. Place into a greased 28cm loaf tin. Oil the knife and cut 1 cm deep line down the length of the loaf. Bake for 1 hour.
